Canvas Care

Cleaning your custom canvas product

Canvas

Lay out your canvas on a clean surface (like a driveway)

Brush off any loose dirt or soil (like bird droppings)

Wash with a solution of non-detergent soap and warm water. Avoid using detergent-based products, as the detergent will damage the finish and make the canvas venerable to the elements. Isso Mold & Mildew Stain Remover or liquid dishwashing soaps are good to use. Do not let the soap dry on the canvas, immediately after washing, rinse the canvas thoroughly with cool water to remove all soap residue. After washing your canvas, be sure to dry the canvas thoroughly. You can use ladders to prop up the canvas so it will dry faster. Never fold or store the canvas while it is wet. You can apply a water-repellent coating to the canvas to keep it in good condition.

Windows

Window should be cleaned and polished regularly with a soft cloth. Use only products designed for this use.

Zippers and Fasteners

Should be cleaned with clean water, then lubricated with Iosso Zipper & Snap Lubricant or silicone spray.

Tarps should never be put over canvas. Windy conditions can cause them to rub through the canvas and not allow the fabric to breath.
